Hey guys…I hope your Tuesday has been a good one, and with the beautiful sunshine out there today it’s easier to be in a good frame of mind. Unfortunately we are entering in that “Catch-22″ territory where you feel a little guilty about being overly happy with the sunshine, given the lack of substanial rain lately and how the ground is really drying out. Keep in mind the drier it gets, the easier it is for the ground to heat up with the afternoon sun, thus the upper 80s for highs the last few days. The one positive is that humidity levels have stayed low so it’s been “bearable” to be out during the hottest part of the day and the lack of humidity has made the evenings quite nice. We need rain and we need it now, but it still may be a few days before that happens. Hopefully Fay will join the party later in some capacity, and I honestly think we still have a fighting chance of seeing the remnants.

In fact the weather was great all weekend long and it has carried over into this new work week. Monday was another beauty with sunshine and highs into the mid 80s thanks to high pressure in the area. The only downside of this pattern is that it’s really starting to dry out here in Kentucky. It’s been awhile now since we’ve seen some widespread rain so we could really use some. Of course the watercooler subject today is Tropical Storm Fay, and what affect this storm could have on Kentucky in the long term so let’s cover that right out of the gate.
